"One Family, One Haier Computer in Guyana" Project Making Internet Users Enjoy Life

On September 14, 2011, Haier signed a computer procurement contract with the Government of Guyana, which would provide services to Guyana users to get rich by technology and enjoying life with Internet.

It is reported that, in order to improve Guyana’s economic situation, help poor families to achieve wealth and access to knowledge, the Government of Guyana launched a project called “One Family, One Computer”, and held a global open tendering for this project.

After a detailed market investigation, Haier Global Business Organization proposed a cost-effective computer solution for the need of Guyana Government and users. In the competition with 10 international computer brands like HP, Dell and Samsung, Haier won the contest not with favorable price, but the highest scores on the computer performance and specification after a third-party’s technical testing and appraisal.
