Introduction to Haier digital TV


Digital TV is a type of TV that adopts digital TV signal during the whole process from studio, to transmitting, transmission and receiving, or all the signal for the system is transferred by binary data constituted by the numeric  string of zero and one.

  

Compared with analog TV, The digital TV features high quality of image, large capacity of program and good effect of accompanying sound. In digital TV, the two-way information transmission technology is used, which has improved the interaction capacity and give many brand new functions to TV, so that the people can obtain various internet services according to their demands, such as video on demand, shopping online, distance education, and telemedicine, which make TV a real information appliance.

  

At present,  the main digital TV system contains:

  • US standard:ATSC(Advanced Television System Committee),since 1995.

  • European standard:DVB (Digital Video Broadcasting),the first generation was issued in 1994, and the second generation was  issued in 2009.

  • Japanese standard:ISDB(Integrated Services Digital Broadcasting), was issued  in 1999.

  • Chinese standard:DTMB(Digital Television Terrestrial Multimedia Broadcasting), the first generation was  issued in 2006, and the second generation was issued in 2012.

Digital TV industry alliance

Chinese DTMB digital TV industry alliance is composed of 54 partners. As the chairman, Haier commits herself  to promote DTMB standard to the global market, and provide users with total solution of digital TV including technical proposal, equipment plan, manufacturing plan and service plan through integrating of the resources of the whole industry chain from research & development to manufacturing.
